Workforce Branding

Most businesses spend money to market to their target audience, ensure favorable social media commentary, etc., and it boggles my mind how some don’t put that same focus on their workforce brand. Your employees are literally walking ambassadors for your company every single day, whether they’re talking to clients, listing their job on their LinkedIn profile, or talking to friends about potential job opportunities. You want to have a company that an employee is proud to represent, and proud to recommend to their friends.

How would you rate your workforce brand on a scale of 1-10?

If you aren’t scoring as high as you’d like, start small and make incremental changes over time. Maybe it’s creating an employee onboarding strategy (that you will eventually implement), or pulling together a small tiger-team of employees to look into opportunities for workforce improvement. Maybe it’s just a matter of considering workforce branding as a factor in making everyday decisions.
